UBS receives the “Best Energy Man” award from the Industrial Energy Institute of the Federation of Thai Industries, which certifies organizations that promote energy conservation.

Recently, Ubon Sunflower Company Limited (UBS), a leading manufacturer and distributor of tapioca starch and gluten-free cassava flour and recognized as the world’s leading manufacturer and distributor of organic starch, a subsidiary of Ubon Bio Ethanol Public Company Limited or UBE, received the “The Best Energy Man 2023” award in the Northeast S2 group from the Industrial Energy Institute Federation of Thai Industries, conducted under the Project to Support Energy Conservation and Cost Reduction in SME Industries, supported by the Energy Conservation Promotion Fund Administration Office, Fund to Promote Energy Conservation, Ministry of Energy, the award reflects the company’s strong energy conservation policy for sustainable growth in every dimension of UBE and its subsidiaries.

The Project to Support Energy Conservation and Cost Reduction in SME Industries is a project to encourage SMEs to start saving energy by organizing “The Best Energy Man 2023” contest, selecting representatives from 18 groups of provinces across the country by introducing energy saving measures in the workplace and presenting the energy saving concept created by the Energy Man, judged by interesting communication techniques and popularity on the Energy Points fan page.

In the past, UBE and its subsidiaries have given importance to energy conservation, renewable clean energy to replace the use of external energy, which helps to reduce environmental problems and is in line with the intention of managing the organization under good corporate governance, creating shared value in terms of profit, people and planet for sustainability.
