UBE Group Organizes UBE CARE Activity, a Merit Making on Buddhist Lent Day, Continuation of Local Traditions for the 12th Consecutive Year

Ms. Sureeyot Khowsurat, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Ubon Bio Ethanol Public Company Limited or UBE (center), a Thailand’s leading manufacturer and distributor of processed cassava products, led the plant’s management team, employees and community members to continue the tradition of merit-making by offering Buddhist Lent candles to temples around the plant.

In addition, a blessing ceremony and tree planting activities in honor of His Majesty the King on the auspicious occasion of the birthday of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua (Rama X) was held on July 26, 2023 at Wat Pa Don Yu, Na Yia District, Kaeng Amnuay Wanaram Temple, Phibun Mangsahan District and Wat Tha Chang Noi Sawang Wirawong District, Ubon Ratchathani Province.

These activities are carried out under the main project “UBE CARE, we pay attention…we care”, which is the Group’s commitment to move towards a sustainable business organization that cares and pays attention to all dimensions both in terms of society, environment and good corporate governance of the organization. This activity is one of our commitments to care for society by participating in the continuation of local arts, culture and traditions, which has been supported annually for the 12th consecutive year.

In addition to providing candles for Buddhist Lent, UBE and its subsidiaries also participate in supporting the budget for organizing the Buddhist Lent Candle Procession in Ubon Ratchathani Province, including supporting candle makers and the local Buddhist Lent Candle Procession in Na Yia and Sawang Wirawong districts to help preserve the tradition and encourage the new generation to join together to continue the tradition for sustainability.
